Parents,

During the LC season (50 Meter pool) every swimmer must circle-in/check in for each of their events. (No circle-in for the Sprint Series meets (25 yard pool) is needed. The only exception is the May Sprint Series Meet) The circle-in deadline is 45 minutes before the start of each session. Swimmers who fail to circle in 45 minutes before the start of the session will be considered absent and will be taken out of those day’s events. Please be sure to have your swimmer circle-in each of their events before the deadline. They are not making exceptions for swimmers who fail to circle-in.

Please read over these 14 things to remember before a meet. (#4 - meet sessions and #7 – Circle-in procedures are different during the Long Course season)

1)            You can find the meet’s location on our meets & results page by clicking on the meet.

2)      Team apparel needed for swim meets

·        Team shirts (White on Saturday & Blue on Sunday) (Friday session – gray)

·          White team cap

·        Team suit (must be ordered through Texas Swim Shop)

3)      Swimmers entries can be found on your parent portal

It is a good idea to write down the event, heat, and lane assignment on young swimmer’s hand or forearm to help them remember when they will swim.

4)      There are two sessions per day

·        13 & over age swimmers- will swim in the morning sessions

·        12 & under age swimmers - will swim in the afternoon session

·        Sprint Series meets are split differently (Girls AM session/ Boys PM session)

5)      The estimated timeline and warm-ups will be posted under our meets and results page

·        You can find the timeline and warm-ups on our meets & results page next to the name and date of the meet. The timeline is indicated as TL or COMBO, the warm-up are indicated as WU or COMBO.

·        Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of our designated warm-up

·        Coaches will meet with all swimmers at the conclusion of warm-up.

·        It is very important that your swimmer is on time for warm-ups. This will help them get a proper warm-up and feel comfortable in their surroundings.

6)      You will receive a text in case the afternoon warm-ups start earlier.

·        Afternoon sessions may change warm-up times depending on how fast the morning session runs

·        Please be sure that the primary phone number in your Active account is able to receive text messages.

7)      All swimmers must circle-in for each of their events 45 minutes before the start of each session.

·        There will be circle-in during the Long Course season for all events.

·        All swimmers must circle-in for each of their events 45 minutes prior to the start of the session. Circle-in allows the host team to know which swimmers are present at the meet. Swimmers who fail to circle in 45 minutes before the start of the session will be considered absent and will be taken out of those day’s events.

·        The circle-in sheets are usually posted at the front of the facility. Please be sure your swimmer circles in for each of their events 45 minutes before the start of the session.

8)      Heat sheets can be purchased at the meet(You can access the heat sheet for the April 20-22 LC meet through the Meet Mobile App)

11)   Bring healthy snacks and drinks

·        Healthy snacks include – fruits, pasta, granola bars, bagels ….

·        The best drink is water

12)   Where to sit?

·        Indoor seating is usually reserved for parents watching their kids while they compete. There is plenty of space outdoors where you can hang out while you wait for your swimmer’s event to start. You are welcome to set up tents and chairs outdoors.

13)   Swimmers need to speak with their coach before and after each race

·        Please help us by reminding your swimmer to speak with their coach

14)   Additional things to bring

·        Multiple goggles

·        1-2 towels

·        Things to keep swimmers warm.

Please email your swimmer's coach directly if you have any questions.
