Congratulations to Erika Stephenson for committing to the University of Incarnate Word.

UIW is a private Division I University located in San Antonio, Texas. The Cardinals recently accepted an invitation to move to Division I and currently compete in the Southland conference.

Stephenson will be joining the Cardinals as one of their strongest mid distance freestylers. Her strengths as a 100 and 200 freestyler are also sure to help the Cardinals 400 and 800 free relays.

Stephenson currently attends Stratford High School and trains with our Sr. Elite squad. She is currently the Dad’s Club swimmer who has been part of our team for the longest time. She first started swimming under Coach Aguilar in the White group a few days before she turned 6yo. Needless to say, Erika has been a very important part of our team for over a decade.

During her time at Dad’s, Erika has broken team records, been part of Gulf Select teams, achieved relay national rankings, has been a multiple time UIL individual Region Champion, and qualified for Sectionals and the UIL State Championships numerous times.

Erika plans to major in broadcast journalism.
