Dad’s Club hosted the 3rd annual Masters Sweetheart Meet on Saturday February 13th at the Spring Branch natatorium. The meet was well attended and included swimmers ranging from 19yo-90yo. Overall Dad’s Club finished first in the combined team scores. In the gender divisions our women finished second while our men finished in first. This was a great improvement from last year when we finished in 7th place. Representing Dad’s Club were: Joey Angers (32 points) 2nd in the 100 free, 1st in the 200 free, 2nd in the 50 free, 1st in both the 200 free and 200 Medley Relays, and 1st in the 1000 Free. James Cravens (23 points) 2nd in the 100 free, 1st in the 50 back, and 2nd in the 50 free Daniela Dolev (32 points) 1st in the 50 breast, 2nd in the 100 IM, 2nd in the 50 fly, 1st in the 50 free, 1st in the 200 free and medley relays, and 2nd in another 200 free relay Trip Friend (28 points) 1st in the 50 back, 4th in the 100 IM, 2nd in the 50 fly, and 2nd in the 50 free Lloyd Jones (27points) 1st in the 500 free, 1st in the 400 IM, and 1st in the 1000 free Cindy Le (34 points) 1st in the 500 free, 2nd in the 50 breast, 2nd in the 200 breast, 3rd in the 100 breast, 2nd in the 50 free, and 2 1st places in the 200 free and Medley relays as well as a 2nd in another 200 free relay James Morris (29 points) 2nd in the 50 breast, 1st in the 200 IM, 2nd in the 100 free Scott Patterson (20 points) 1st in the 500 free, 4th in the 50 fly, 3rd in the 50 free, and 1st in the 200 medley and free relays Alisha Rembach (31 points) 1st in the 100 fly, 2nd in the 100 free, 3rd in the 100 IM, 1st in the 50 free, and 1st in the both 200 free relays and also a 200 Medley relay Rushed Smith (28 points) 1st in the 50 breast, 3rd in the 100 free, 1st in the 100 breast, 5th in the 50 free, 2nd in the 200 free relay, and 1st in the 200 medley relay | Carleigh Kutac (45 points) 1st in the 500 free, 1st in the 100 free, 1st in the 200 free, 1st in the 100 back, 1st in 2 200 free relays and also a 200 medley relay, and then 1st in the 1000 free Joel Beard scored 31 points for the team, finishing; 2nd in the 100 IM, 1st in the 50 fly, 3rd in the 50 free, 1st in the 100 back, 2nd in the free relay, and 1st in the medley relay. A big thanks goes out to Nicole Rembach for putting the meet together. We also want to thank all our swimmers and parents who were able to help time at the meet. Masters swimming is open to all swimmers ages 19 & up who like to stay and shape and even compete.
