21 Dad’s Club swimmers traveled to San Antonio for Sr. Circuit II and the Sr. Series III meets which were held simultaneously at the Northside Aquatic Center on June 19th-21st. Both these meets are geared towards senior level swimming (15 & over). The Texas Sr. Circuits attracts higher level athletes from the sectional level to college swimmers and professionals. This year’s event included over 40 different teams. Overall both our girls and boys placed top 8 in the team standings. The girls placed 8th with 116.5 points while the boys placed 5th with 204 points. Sr. Circuit II
We had many exciting races which included many personal best times, new sectional cuts, down to the wire relays and a few team records. Some of our most notable swims include a first time Summer Jr. National qualifier, two back to back swim offs, and 4 back to back sectional B cuts. Jack Calderwood achieved his first Summer Speedo Junior National cut in the 200 backstroke during the Championship final on the first day of competition. Tie breakers, Clayton Bobo and Kaley Hoffman narrowly out-touched the competition in two back to back swim-offs. Both turned in personal best with Bobo going a 1:58.20 in the 200 free and Hoffman 32.31 in the 50 back. Ellie Vincent was solid and consistent in all her events. Her best times in the 200 back, 400 free, 400IM and 200IM gave her four back to back Sectional B qualifying standards. | Individual Finalists
