The gold group traveled to Atlanta Georgia this year for our annual travel trip and swam at Georgia Tech University, home of the 1996 Olympic Games. It was a prelims/finals meet and the 10 fastest times from the morning came back in the evening to dual it out. We were fortunate to have Olympian’s Elizabeth Beisel and Sebastien Rousseau attend the meet along with a good portion of the University of Florida swim team. Our kids really stepped up and swam well and we had a great time as a team. The following athletes attended: Tyler Presswood, Noah Czelusta, Sophie Newell, Audrey Orange, Sydney Buchman, Cayla Won, Kelsie Stephenson, Emma Stephenson, Lara Prakash, Ellen Pack, Fernanda Gamez, Jodi Wong, Olivia Cone, Kate Luo, Clarissa Vincent, Wednesday Hunter, and Jamie Morgan. I would like to thank Amy Cone and Jenny Stephenson for chaperoning the trip.
| ![]() It is travel trips like this that really strengthen the bound between these great kids. I personally will remember the laughter and the moments that I shared with this group. We had a great time as a team visiting the Atlanta aquarium and enjoying the Georgia Tech campus. We never lost focus that we were there to race and I hope everyone remembers this trip for the rest of their lives. Gold group represented Dads Club exceptionally well in and out of the water. Great job gang ☺! |
