2015 Senior Meets

Two Senior Gulf Championships were held on the weekend of December 4- 6th.
The Southern Senior Championships was held at the Conroe ISD Natatorium. Eleven of our swimmers competed in the preliminary yards and finals meters course.


Swimming in finals were:
  • Riley Carson 2nd place in the 1500 
  • Charis Won 19th place in 200 back and 29th place in 100 back.
  • Jodi Wong 25th 400IM, 28th 200 fly, 22nd 400 free, 27th 200IM. 
Some best times were achieved by Stacie Cromie, Luke Funderburk with 100% best times, Ben Garvis, Samuel Ho, Charis Won with 100% best times, Nikita Traynin, Abby Partridge, and Nathan O’Neil

The Gulf Senior Championships where held in Magnolia at the Michael D Holland Natatorium. The meet was also ran as a prelim/final championship. 



Swimming in finals were:
  • Hector Bayaborda 2nd 200 breast, 9th 200IM
  • Ashlyn Bigger 19th 200 free, 23rd in 100 fly
  • Melissa Brill 11th 100 breast, 21st 100 fly, 8th 200 fly, 28th 50 free
  • Wassim Daghri 10th 50 free, 28th 100 back
  • Abby Hegwood 23rd 200 free, 24th 100 fly, 26th 50 free, 31st 100 back
  • Andreas Mason 3rd 50 free, 22nd 100 back, 4th 100 free, 7th 200 IM
  • Meg Meliet 24th 50 free, 11th 100 back, 7th 500 free, 22nd 100 free, 10th 200 back
  • Peyton Moak 10th 100 free, 18th 200 back, 12th 200 IM
Andreas Mason and Peyton Moak achieved 100% time drop from the prelim swim to the final swim.

Andreas Mason had the most best times in 9 out of 10 swims. Abby Hegwood had the greatest accumulated time drip with 9.56 seconds. Following was Melissa Brill with 8.21 seconds and Wassim Daghri with 7.23 seconds. The Men’s Medley Relay made an impressive showing with a second place finish. Peyton Moak swam backstroke, Hector Bayaborda on breast, Wassim Daghri on fly, and Andreas Mason on free.
