Alexandra Buscher and Michael Miller participated at the Speedo Summer Junior Nationals Championships held in Indianapolis on August 13th-17th. This was Buscher's first Summer Juniors and Miller's second.

Over 350 teams from across the nation participated at this year's event.  Attracting the fastest 18 & Under swimmers, this is one of the most competitive and hard to get to competitions in the country.

Buscher's strong prelim effort in the 200 freestyle earned her a second swim among the finals.  Her final's time of 2:04.07 bettered her old mark by .4 seconds and placed her 3rd in the Bonus final.  Her new mark breaks her old team records in the 13-14 year old and open divisions.  Buscher ends the season with the nation's 5th fastest time in the 200 free among the 14 year old age group. .

Miller single-handedly placed Dad's Club among the top 45 teams in the men team rankings.  His time of 4:30.49 in the 400 IM equaled the 2012 Olympic trial and U.S Open time standards. In the 200 IM, Miller turned in another great swim which earned him a spot in the Championship final.  His time of 2:06.95 earned him the 5th place  and places him 3rd in the Dad's club all time top 10 list. Ahead of him are only Dad's Club's greats Chris Rives (1982 U.S World championship team member) and Doug Gjertsen (1988-1992 U.S Olympian)
