1st Year Lifeguard Training: Must be 15 years of age

This class consists of:
  • 7 hour (prerequisite) online class (35.00) Must be completed prior to the start of the 3 day lifeguard training class.
  • 3 day Lifeguard training class (you must be present all 3 days)
    • Day 1: AGE VERIFICATION & PREREQUISITE SWIM TEST: • 300 yard continuous swim • tread water for 2 minutes using feet only • In 1 minute, 40 seconds swim 20 yards, surface dive 7-10 feet and retrieve a 10 pound brick, return to the surface, swim 20 yards holding the brick with both hands and exit the water without using a ladder or steps • Classroom: "Becoming a professional lifeguard and Facility Safety"
    • Day 2 & 3: • Lifeguard training • CPR/AED • First Aid • Final Written Exam • Final In-Water Skill Scenarios

7 hour online class:  A link will be e-mailed to you when you register, with a hyperlink and set of instructions. There will be in water sessions each day as well as class room work. Please bring towels, change of clothes, lunch, pen & paper.
